How to Resize a Signature to 140×60 px, 10–20 KB for Bank Exams
Bank recruitment portals (IBPS, SBI, RRB) overlay your signature onto admit cards and attendance sheets at a fixed slot size — which is why they demand exactly 140 × 60 pixels, between 10 and 20 KB, in JPEG, on a white background. Off-spec files are rejected rather than adjusted.
Your starting point is a phone photo of paper, which fails all of those requirements at once: wrong size, huge file, grey-ish background. Converting it properly takes four steps.
Step by step
- Sign with a bold black or blue pen on plain white paper — sign larger than usual; it survives downscaling to 140 pixels far better than a small cramped signature.
- Photograph from directly above in bright, even light. Avoid shadows across the paper; they fight the background cleanup.
